Online Searches vs. Yellow Pages

According to the latest research conducted*, 2008 marks the changing of the guard, as 31% of consumers looking forĀ local businesses used search engines versus 30% looking through the yellow pages. This follows years of free-falling Yellow Pages usage statistics that see no sign of slowing down.

Following online local searches, consumers most often contact a business over the telephone (39%), visit the business in-person (32%) or contact the business online (12%).
