Yellow Pages vs. Newspapers vs. Magazines vs. The Arts Program Where Will Your Dollar Find Your Best Patients? This article will help you decide how to better allocate your marketing resources. It might not detail every variable that you could encounter, but it will give you considerable guidance during your next media budgeting session. The comparison article has three sections: high-end patients, marketing viability and the final analysis. High-end Patients A high-end (or high-value) patient is a fairly flexible term. If you’re in a large metro area, it could mean celebrities, CEOs and the wealthy. If you’re in a rural area or midsize community, it could mean individuals who want the best care available in the area. Of course, it could also be a mixture of these groups. Ultimately, the definition is “patients who want comprehensive and elective dentistry, and will pay your fees in full.” Click here to read the full article.
Expo Marketing for Dentists Regardless of practice size, expos provide an excellent opportunity to reach potential patients and continue the relationship building process. If chosen, planned, and marketed correctly, expos can be one of the most cost-effective ways for your practice to reach current and potential patients. Expos offer your practice another opportunity to stand out from the crowd. You can outshine the competition with a well-trained booth staff, aggressive pre-show and post-show marketing, and eye-catching booth design. It is also an excellent opportunity to take advantage of the media attention that often comes with a show. You must be aware of this, and use this to your advantage to gain increased exposure. CMG has developed booths for dentists exhibiting at Wedding Expos, Health Fairs and Business Events. (See Dr. Fred Peck’s backdrop at right) As our dentist clients will tell you, the backdrops capture the attention of attendees. Once they’ve stopped you can educate them with your Practice Brochure and Portrait Book. You may want to offer them a chance for a complimentary whitening. Your goal? Ask for permission to send them follow up information. You’ll need their address, but more importantly, you may be able to get their email address for eMarketing. More on that next issue.
Expo Marketing for Dental Companies As shown on the right, we have recently designed and produced a richly detailed, eye-catching and money-saving trade show booth for Carl Zeiss, Inc. Robert Garner, Marketing Manager for the Carl Zeiss SI Office Product Group says, “We had seen this concept being used at the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry meeting in Honolulu this year in booths by Valley Dental Arts and The Amara Institute. They sent us to Curtis Marketing Group, the developers of the concept. Curtis Marketing Group explained that, through a unique process, they were able to reproduce photographs and graphics in fine detail and color on durable vinyl panels.” “Because the panels can be rolled into a tube and checked as luggage, the immediate benefit to Carl Zeiss was the reduction of shipping and handling charges at the dozens of meetings we attend each year. We estimate savings of $30,000 to $50,000 per year. The secondary benefits included interchangeability of multiple panels, ease of set up and breakdown, and reduced storage costs. Plus, the backdrop is very distinctive. It certainly is unlike any other booth on the show floor.” Contact us for more information about creating and marketing your own Expo exhibit. |
